About TallyMyTax

TallyMyTax is an independent project run by a small team of tax-software veterans and personal-finance writers. We built it because the new 2026 deductions are genuinely valuable — and genuinely confusing. Our calculators turn the statute and IRS guidance into plain English and instant numbers.

Everything on TallyMyTax is free. There’s no account, no email gate, and nothing to download. The site is funded by unobtrusive advertising, which lets us keep the tools free and the math honest.

Every formula is implemented from primary sources, unit-tested against hand-computed examples, and reviewed when guidance changes. Read our methodology for the details, or contact us with corrections.
